Wondering more about the uses of feedback and Google Classroom? Look no further! Feedback is such an important part of writer's workshop. Teaching kids how to provide constructive feedback using 21st century tech programs like Google classroom, will motivate your learners on a new level.
Step One: Online
Communication Talk
Before students can become
well trained in this process, you need to have a conversation with students
about smart online communication. As a Christian school teacher, this
is a great opportunity for me to discuss how we can use technology to glorify
God with our actions and words or we can use it to separate us from God's love.
Students could use this sharing opportunity to build someone up with words or take
them down. It is important that they choose their feedback carefully.
T–Is it True?
H–Is it Helpful?
I–Is it Inspiring?
N–Is it Necessary?
K–Is it Kind?

Step Two: Using Examples
Explaining how to give feedback by using examples. Place examples
up on the board of work that has mistakes and walk students through
constructive ways to tell each other what needs to be worked on. If everything
looks good, they can comment, "I read your paper and it looks good!"
That was a clip of a 3rd grader! Impressed? It's doable. Use this
clip to teach your students the process if needed!
That's it! If you are nervous to give it a go, have another techy
teacher be in class with you.
